DKM calendar 2015 is ready
After the CIK-FIA, the German Kart Championship is now also publishing its racing calendar for 2015. There will be five racing weekends in Ampfing, Genk, Wackersdorf, Oschersleben and Kerpen again. The event in Genk is going to take place two weeks before the European Championship.
Just like this year, the starting event of the German Kart Championship is going to take place in Bavarian Ampfing. In the middle of April the drivers are going to fight for their first Championship points on the Schweppermannring. A two-month long break is going to follow, before the drivers and teams are going to start at the second event in Belgian Genk. A filled up field of participants is expected for the end of June, because two weeks later the CIK-FIA KZ & KZ2 European Championship and Academy Trophy is going to take place there too.
During the second half of the year things will go quickly then once again. The races in Wackersdorf, Oschersleben and Kerpen are going to take place within nine weeks. The date for the event at the etropolis Motorsportarena Oschersleben is not completely safe yet though. Due to missing DTM dates, there could still be a switch with the event in Kerpen.
Series coordinator Stefan Wagner is excited about the attractive racing calendar and is looking forward to the 2015 season: “The past weeks have been very exciting. Now we have a finished calendar and the dates are really good. Especially the race in Genk is promising a lot of excitement.”
